Quick and Easy Kites for Windy Days

We made these really quick and easy kites for the windy weather we’ve had recently. They take less than two minutes to make and kept the children busy for about an hour, even though it was really cold. Quick and Easy Kites for Windy Days

Simply tie some ribbon or string onto both handles of a plastic bag and that’s it! It’s best to tie the other end of the ribbon to the child’s wrist, especially if it’s very windy – a strong gust can easily carry the kite away and lead to many tears. I speak from experience…

The children had great fun watching how the wind filled their kites and blew them around. They were also able to work out that they had to run in a particular direction so they didn’t get tangled up!
